Some Things That Made MMPR More Fun to Watch For Some Time IMO

Here were some reasons why I considered MMPR's fun to watch moments:

The possible chemistry of Jason and Trini. Somehow, although Trini at times would drive her teammates crazy with her aggressiveness, she and Jason seemed to have a chemistry. Too bad though, Austin St. John left for some reason unknown while Thuy Trang had salary disputes with Saban during season two, had enough and quit.

Bulk and Skull- Idiots help make the world go round. Too bad though, they don't have superpowers. I admit I didn't like Skull because he was going after Kimberly and glad that it ended. :-P Of course, campy humor is good. But I admit, MMPR isn't as funny as Go-onger and Carranger IMO.

Tommy and Kimberly- I really continued watching MMPR because of these two and I loved their relationship. Too bad Amy Jo Johnson left the set and later in Zeo, the writers had a stupid dear John letter script rather than keep their long distance relationship, which I might soon write a fan-fic if I really get the time to get them back together. :-P

The relationship of Lord Zedd and Rita as husband and wife in season 2-3. In season two, Lord Zedd started off as a pretty one-sided villain. However when he and Rita Repulsa got married, things started to get rough for the rangers since the two always cooked up schemes that worked better than each one was working alone. Also it meant Lord Zedd was no longer limited to just being a grouchy, brute-force relying monster but also as Rita Repulsa's wonderful husband. Although they never won but the rangers suffered so much stress because of these two. And yup, they've become one of my favorite couples.

How I Felt About Katherine Hillard

I kind of have my thoughts on Katherine Hillard and how I ended up disliking her for some time, even if as a character she was a pretty likable person. So what's the big deal? First and foremost, she became the replacement of Kimberly Hart whose relationship with Tommy Oliver kept the show going for some time. Why Amy Jo Johnson left the show is something I'd like to know. So because of that, I felt like the whole show tumbled down, losing the famous match-up and it did happen.

When? In Zeo, thanks to some immediate bad writing, Kimberly Hart dumps Tommy Oliver for another guy with a Dear John letter, which really was a frustration (that just wasn't like Kimberly Hart for a start). It was probably due to the fact the actress Amy Jo Johnson didn't show up at all so the writers came up with a rush script. Still, they could have just kept Tommy Oliver and Kimberly Hart in a long distance relationship. I felt like her relationship with Tommy Oliver was a bit forced, plus I disliked the fact that one episode of Zeo featured her as Tommy Oliver's wife in the future and NO future episode contradicts it. In Turbo, the relationship continued but fans are left to assume the fate of it, when she left the set and the other four members found new successors.

So far, I believe that while her existence was necessary to keep the series going but that Dear John letter may have caused her to go underrated. However, jump the shark as it was with her kind of forced relationship with Tommy Oliver (sadly, Amy Jo Johnson never came back so my favorite couple disappeared), the events that happened here concerning a change in relationship can happen. After all, life isn't perfect at all and they were but teenagers back then. :-P

Kakuranger and the Alien Rangers

As we all know, the Alien Rangers were the most hated part of MMPR Season 3 by both the Sentai fans AND Power Rangers fans. Had Ninja Sentai Kakuranger's reputation been completely spoiled by Saban's Alien Rangers?

First of all, as you must know, the henshin from Kakuranger and the morph from the Alien Rangers were VERY different. I personally prefered the Kakuranger henshin anyday, since the Aliens' morph was unoriginal and they each sounded like they had soap in their mouths. Even worst adaptations for Kakuranger included the fact that the Alien Rangers had only a few episodes in, and the storyline was CRAP compared to Kakuranger's.

Some things Saban did keep close to Kakuranger was the fact that Ninjaman was not really a ranger, neither could he henshin/morph. The white female ranger was still the leader of the team, and each of the fighting styles were about the same.

IMO, Saban could've had the American rangers change their costumes. Kimberly or Kat would've become white, and Tommy would become red. One of them would have to leave, however, but I would choose Billy since he's been with the team longest.

Also, Alien Rangers was apart of MMPR. MMPR fanboys will also overrate the Alien Rangers due to the fact that it was still apart of Zordon's era and they had close ties with the American rangers.

Kakuranger still continues to be underrated by the PR fandom, sadly.
